Tour Plan

Our journey commences with a picturesque drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, located at an elevation of approximately 870 meters. The 11-13 hours drive will offer stunning views of the countryside and Himalayan landscape as we descend into the Budhi Gandaki River valley.

We embark on a trek that includes crossing the Machha Khola, passing through terraced fields, waterfalls, and vibrant villages. We gradually ascend to Jagat, situated at an altitude of around 1,340 meters.

Our trek continues through rocky trails and dense forests as we ascend to the village of Deng, located at an elevation of approximately 1,860 meters.

We ascend further through beautiful forests and traditional Tibetan villages, reaching Namrung situated at an altitude of around 2,630 meters. The trail offers breathtaking views of Manaslu and Himlung Himal.

We trek through the picturesque village of Shyala and ascend to Samagaon, located at an elevation of about 3,530 meters. The day provides an opportunity to explore the local monasteries and acclimatize to the increasing altitude.

An acclimatization day in Samagaon allows us to adjust to the height and explore the surrounding areas, including a short hike to Pungyen Gompa, situated at approximately 4,000 meters.

We ascend to Samdo, the last settlement before crossing the Larkya La pass, at an altitude of around 3,860 meters, where we are treated to amazing views of Manaslu and the surrounding peaks.

A relatively short trek to Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi, which is situated at an elevation of approximately 4,460 meters, offers time to prepare for the challenging crossing of the Larkya La pass.

Today's highlight is crossing the challenging Larkya La pass at 5,160 meters and descending to Bimthang, which is located at an altitude of about 3,720 meters, marking the end of our trek.

Continuing our descent, we trek to Dharapani, situated at an altitude of around 2,300 meters, passing through diverse landscapes and charming villages.

rek from Dharapani to Jagat and Drive to Besishar.

Our journey concludes with a scenic drive from Jagat to Besishar and onwards to Kathmandu or Pokhara allowing us to reflect on the incredible heights we've experienced and the unique cultural and natural beauty of the area.

The 12-Day Classical Manaslu Circuit is a journey of epic proportions. Since it requires a special restricted area permit and a mandatory guide, the trail has remained pristine, offering a "teahouse trekking" experience that feels like an expedition into the past. The trek follows a magnificent geographical line, beginning in the lush subtropical forests of the Budhi Gandaki valley and ascending into the raw, windswept landscapes of the Tibetan borderlands.

Throughout the trek, you will be immersed in a world of fluttering prayer flags, ancient Mani walls, and centuries-old monasteries. Highlights include an acclimatization day in Samagaon, where the massive glacier of Manaslu hangs right above the village, and the challenging crossing of the Larkya La Pass (5,106m). This trek doesn't just offer mountain views; it offers a deep spiritual connection to the "Mountain of the Spirit." For those who have already done Everest or Annapurna, the Manaslu Circuit is the next logical step into the wild.
